She posted below that we need to open up the Big Pointy Building for refugees from New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, and I agree.
I am fully aware that Craig Brewer is shooting Black Snake Moan there, and that the Wonders exhibit, Art of the Motorcycle, is winding down on the north side of the building.
However, there are things more important than a movie shoot, and I suspect that Craig would understand completely. If the movie company doesn't, fuck 'em.
In the event the city can't force them out of the contract, then we need to make sure that this information gets out to EVERY media outlet in the country so that the movie will lose millions.
Mayor Herenton, we're looking at you, handle this business so we can take our share of our brothers and sisters who are homeless. They would do the same for us; someday, they may HAVE to.
