John Brummett of Stephens Media has a solid column today about how, at the very least, efforts to stop the execution of Damian Echols should be successful, and that the efforts to free these folks will eventually succeed.

As time goes by, frequent reviews of the court transcripts only increase, not decrease, any reasonable doubt regarding their convictions, which is the standard for any criminal trial. I urge you to read Brummett's column, and visit their website.

The Freedonian has a highly informative post about new DNA evidence that suggests that the stepfather of one of the murder victims was involved in the murder.
