Lee Harris reads my blog!

9th District candidate Lee Harris called me to answer questions about who he is and why he's running for Congress.

He was enjoyable to speak with, as we talked about some of the issues that had been raised, such as charter schools, which he feels have been successful in some instances that he has seen, but added that he is committed to public education.

The website, linked above, has more information.

Ralph White opened his campaign this week with a meet and greet at the U of M Holiday Inn, Nikki Tinker is out raising money and talking to people, and Ron Redwing had a fundraiser this week, so the 9th district race is taking shape.

While the Senate race is going backwards. Riddle me this: why would you go to a city to host a fund-raiser, and you voted to include a constitutional amendment to intentionally discriminate against a group of people whose lifestyle you don't agree with? How can you ask them for money while you piss on them?

I guess he's not afraid to ask ANYONE for money. I can only imagine the look on Newsom's face when he found out about Junior's vote for the anti-gay marriage amendment.

LWC, Newsom learned that Ford voted for that amendment, and made arrangements to be ELSEWHERE. He even advised the Ford campaign to consider cancelling the event altogether, because the LGBT crowd is fired up, they're mad, and most of all, they're insulted that Junior's coming there to beg for money.

Newsom's base is the gay community, and he's not about to piss them off. And Harold did himself no favors with his comments to the Commercial Appeal, regarding Mayor Newsom.

What's he smoking or drinking, because I would like to have some of it, so I can be as delusional as he is.
