Mr. Moody, the founder and lead blogger at
ElectBlue.Org, was one of the best statewide Democratic bloggers. Sadly, they
have announced his passing at the way-too-young age of 59. Our prayers go out to Mr. Moody's family, friends, and readers, of which we were one of many.

OMG--That's awful. I had the chance to work with him on several events.
He was no arm chair warrior, sitting around bitching about everyone and everything and never really doing anything.
He rolled up his sleeves and got out there and got his hands dirty and was involved with democratic politics longer than most of the "progressive" bloggers have been alive.
His site was one of the few in Tennessee on either side one could read and know the statements he made were fact checked and sourced.
He was literally, a dying breed.
It's sad for his family, it's sad for progressives who actually accomplished things, and it's sad to me as he was someone I liked and I liked working in the trenches with him.
Way too young to die.
These matters, like friendship and commom experiences, do matter.
