"The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism — ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. ”
— Franklin D. Roosevelt
Unless you are on the dole, than actually they are your friends.
Ever notice that a good number of the foot soliders of these campaigns are financially connected in some way. It's called patronage, and it is city and county wide. The campaign underworld. :)
If you are interested in organizing, then actually do it rather than spending your non-work time drinking liberally, blogging incessantly and pretending to care about actual human beings rather than the groups into which society has placed them. I'll believe it when I see it. Incidentally, the SCOTUS ruled properly yesterday in the New Haven case.
Myron Lowery's transition team is a nice political move. Not bad for a veteran politico. The question still remains for all mayoral candidates: Where's the beef?
Crackers certainly aren't tolerant or interested in an exchange of ideas, are they? Guess they're too drunk on their own narcissicism and need to feel self-absorbed. What else is new?
Frankly, I don't give a hoot or Rhett Butler epithet about Sitemeter or anything else that your arrogance and foolishness has to convey. All your comments do is reaffirm what the last several years have implied: the liberalism you represent is a decayed shell of its former healing self and rotten to its core. You may rely upon technology to pull a Dick Cheney and essentially spy on your responders, but it has enabled you to long since misplace the humanity that once made it possible to actually have conversations and even disagreements on a variety of topics. I am glad to see, however, that you are answering comments. Even as they are full of Lear at the Heath sound and fury and signify only the slimmest of somethings, you're not totally lost in the forest of "liberalism's" own idiocy. May you continue to discover just how rotten the Denmark of liberalism and many of its present adherents has become.

Still, Brad hits it on the head.

Well, someone hasn't changed Anon's diapers in a while, have they?

Oh, Anon, just so you know, thanks to the wonders of SiteMeter, I know exactly from where these comments are sent.
Nice try, though.
