Fischerspooner: We Need a War

Hat tip to my friend Joe Young, who sent this to me!

WARNING: This video contains graphic and political material. It is not for the faint of heart.

Inspiration from "Why We Fight", a movie about the Industrial-Military Complex. Eisenhower said, "God help this country if someone sits at this desk who knows less about the military as I do." Do you think Bush knows as much about the military - and war - as Eisenhower?

By this logic, then, Clinton was an even worse president. Bush at least went into the Reserves, and was exposed to some level of military thinking and experience while Clinton actively tried to skip any military service.

And Clinton's conduct of the war in Kosovo bears this out. He demanded his generals fight while not exposing any American soldiers to enemy fire. The result? Air war from 15,000 feet and a lot of civilian casualties

Regarding the above comment, it depends on your definition of knowledge.

I spent 6 years in the Reserves myself....and actually attended the meetings... but I have a feeling that Ike wasn't thinking of how to march in step and do a spit shine on your boots. I think he was thinking more globally which Clinton had more conceptual knowledge than "W" and his neocon staff put together.

I wouldn't hold Kosovo as a perfect example but at least it was with a true coalition (NATO) and didn't stay there in a stalmate for an unknown number of years.
