"The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism — ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. ”
— Franklin D. Roosevelt
Well done, sir. This, by the way, is how I found out about Mr. G's passing. Why did Elvis hate him, anyway?
Robert Goulet was known as the ORIGINAL Sir Lancelot in the Original production of CAMELOT on Broadway, with Sir Richard Burton as Arthur and a young Julie Andrews as Guinevere.
He appeared on EVERY variety show in the 1960s (yes, youngsters, there was once such a thing as variety shows) but he always loved the theatre.
I should have done something like this for Porter Wagoner.
