Well, friends, Thaddeus has done it again...

I saw this little movie of the Mayor with the holy spirit as it carried him across the pulpit, and I thought, wow, Thaddeus has got a HUGE pair to put this out!

I thought, that's funny, but I shouldn't link to it. Then, what the hell, Brassmask and Autoegocrat did, so HERE WE GO!

You really can't lose with that one. The people who love him talk about him being full of the spirit and the people don't care for him very much just think its funny to see Willie be-bopping. So, there's no real harm.

But it is freaking hilarious.

Good sir, you post comments at his blog about as often as I do, so we both "support" him, if you can call it that.

I do, however, commend you for attaching a name and ID to those comments, as few of his "commenters" do.

While there are lots of things that I do not agree with him about (anonymous commenting at the top of the list), I frankly share his concern about the Mayor's stewardship of the city.

For all of the goofiness at his blog, he just might pull off getting the recall on the ballot.

Hey, lookit, as I said over on Pesky's site, I think the dude does a good job of dancing. So what's the beef?

Maybe it's the lack of music with the clip....

You could be right; he could always use it in a commercial next year (or, this year, if need be!)

I agree with you that Rout has gotten away with way too much stuff, and if we had a US Attorney that was above politics, he'd be indicted, too.

Regarding Mayor Herenton, I find that this effort is multi-racial. As he has gone further in his term, it seems that a) he really doesn't care about the part of the city outside Downtown, as the rest of the town has really fallen on hard times. Can anyone say South Memphis, North Memphis, Frayser, Raleigh, Parkway Village, or Fox Meadows has improved their lot in the last 15 years?

When the Mayor has HAD good ideas like consolidation, he has managed to infuriate 90% of the people who could make it happen. Bluntly put, the man couldn't sell air-conditioning in the Delta in July!

The arrow is going down, and while he is not the sole reason, he bears a high portion because he is in charge. The fact that it appears that he regards any questioning of his decisions as if they were any assault on his personhood has not helped, either.

We need a complete independent audit of both city AND County government to see how big a hole we are in. But we need to remove him from office; if not now, then next year, because the city really can't afford to wait.
