"The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism — ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. ” — Franklin D. Roosevelt

How about some CONTEXT, people???
Hat tip to Katie Allison Granju at Knoxville Talks, I learned that Trinity United Church of Christ has their own YouTube Channel and has provided this clip of Reverend Jeremiah Wright's sermon where he exclaims God Damn America. When you hear the sermon leading up to it, you'll be saying it, too.

It's sad that nuance is lost on people. America's actions in many instances deserve condemnation. One of the things that I find interesting in bringing in what has been said by religionists such as Hagee, Falwell, or Robertson...is that the OT describes in Book of Genesis: “And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse."
So it's supposedly not OK for Pastor Wright to cite instances where America is damnable, but that God Himself sanctions it when the offending party is not obsequies enough to Israel?
