"The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism — ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. ” — Franklin D. Roosevelt

All right, get those heads up!
Last year, after going 33-4 and losing in the Elite 8 to UCLA, I was genuinely disappointed with the Tigers, as I thought we were better than UCLA, even if they did make the Championship Game. We then had Shawne Williams and Rodney Carney drafted, and Darius Washington, Jr. made the mistake of going pro.
This year, I thought, would be not nearly as good. Was I ever wrong.
CUSA Champions, winners of 25 in a row, we made it back to the Elite 8 and lost to a team that has a great chance to win the National Championship in Ohio State, a team that may have the man that saves the Grizzlies, Greg Oden. We went 33-4 again, due to a GREAT coaching job by John Calipari.
I wouldn't change a thing. Great year, fellas, you just lost to a better team, and there's no shame in that.

Well, I would change one thing...the Tigers would have won....and we would be in the FF for the first time since I had just graduated from law school - when Cooper-Young was gritty, I had no air conditioning in my 10 year old VW bug, and the earth was flat.
