Bill Morrison fund raiser THIS COMING FRIDAY NIGHT!
I thought I would move this to the top to remind you...
A) that will be announced Friday, I think, B) G-town Democrats love him for the fight he put up against Blackburn last year, so they want to help him get elected to the City Council, even if it's Memphis.
As to me, I like to know exactly which position a person is running for before I contribute. Example: would have been happy to contribute to a Chumney for Council candidacy.

What district is he running in? And why would he hold a Memphis City Council fundraiser in Germantown?

Hmm. I would suspect Dist. 2, given its proximity to G'town. That race is going to end up being heavy with Dems...
I also have to question the wisdom of having your campaign kick off on Friday the 13th, but, you know, whatever.

I can certainly understand about the District race; that should be cleared up this evening.
As for the second part, the only Chumney for Council campaign was in 2003. I can assure you there won't be one this year...
